Beach Bums
On September 10th, we took the girls on their first ever beach excursion! We loaded the car up and headed to Sand Castle in Port Aransas, TX! It took us about 5 hours to get there, which, but the way, is about 2 hours longer than Bri would like it to be. LOL!! It was so funny to watch their faces as they discovered the sand and the ocean for the first time. Brianna would spend countless hours playing in the sand, almost to the point that they rest of us were non-existent. Thus, we have no pictures of Brianna actually smiling at the camera while she is playing in the sand. Katelyn loved the sand too; I think her favorite part was went we took her swimming in the pool. She was afraid of the ocean and it's "dirty water." I wasn't suprised that she would be a little timid though. The gulf waters are more of a brownish color. There was a tropical storm that had just hit the coast, so there was a lot of seaweed on the beach as well. We spent our time going to the beach and then the pool...repeat! One thing that surprised us was that in order to get to the resort, we had to take a ferry. So, the girls got their very first ferry ride as well. :)
